So much going on!

An awful lot has been happening at HZ HQ lately, not least the fact that we will be moving into our very own studio space very very soon with the lovely Emma from Showpony. We could hardly contain our excitement (in fact, we did not contain it at all) when we found the best place in a lovely converted school building with huge windows and high ceilings just perfect for our needs. Emma even gets a little box room for her screen printing - it's perfect. As soon as we are moved in and set up, I promise there will be photos so watch this space...

What else has been happening??? Oh yes, Christmas, how could I forget! It was totally crazy, the busiest I've had yet which I admit took me a little bit by surprise with all this doom and gloom talk in the papers. I really think it can continue that way this year and I super positive about what the future holds for Hannah Zakari, not least because of all the amazing stuff I have lined up over the next few months!

HZ and me were featured in the Guardian - twice! - towards the end of last year which was super exciting. Margaux Lange's Barbie series was mentioned in the Fashion Statement column and I was very flattered to be interviewed by the lovely Eithne Farry for a piece she wrote about the Bust Christmas Craftacular and generally championing the craft movement.

The Bust Christmas Craftacular, what a day that was! We (John and I) travelled down to London for the weekend - just after Eithne's piece had gone in the Guardian so it was unbelievably busy and after being rather ill all week I was feeling spectacularly disorganised, but it all came together in the end and was a brilliant day. I met so many customers and designers, some I already knew and some who have kept in touch and I've got to know better since (hello to you!). I seriously can't wait for the next one!

This year I was so happy to have a Christmas holiday, I've never needed one more :D

So I could lie and say all this has kept me too busy to blog but the truth is that I am just a bit rubbish at blogging so you will need to put up with that I'm afraid, I do my best... Until next time xxx
